It was another very successful day; good attendance, dry weather, lots of smiling faces and very generous donations at the entry tents and on sponsor forms.

It was certainly a day Rosie would have enjoyed…..

The amount raised through donations and sponsorship money was a fantastic £16,000. Huge thank you to everyone who gave their support and to our volunteers, company sponsors, especially Barhale Construction of Walsall and Aldridge Co-op Travel.

Thank you to the entertainers for giving up their time to provide an enjoyable afternoon of live music for visitors:-

Walsall based bands Bad Rabble and Vanity Isn’t Dead, Jo-Leigh School of Dance Aldridge, Violinist Adastra Fletcher-Hall and DJ Stu Rhodes for keeping it all running smoothly.

The money raised has helped 14 local voluntary projects working with children and young people within a 15 mile radius of Aldridge.  From pre-school groups through to young adults taking their first steps into employment.   These groups have been able to purchase new equipment, refurbish their premises, provide workshops, counselling and training for young people.

Paying in Donations and Sponsor money

We are very happy to accept donations either by cheque (made payable to Rosie’s Helping Hands and sent to Karen Ross, 3 Tenbury Close Aldridge, WS9 8LH) or you may donate on-line here.

We would very much appreciate all sponsor money to be paid in by the 30th September 2009 again cheques as above or pay on-line here.

Gift Aid

Please Gift Aid your donation where possible as it’s an important source of income to the charity; last year over £3,000 was reclaimed with no extra cost to donors. You can download a Gift Aid declaration here to send with your cheque.
