Rosie’s Walk Goes Out on a High

Start 1

Thank you to everyone who  joined us on Sunday 17th July for the last Rosie’s Walk and helped to make it such a special and memorable day.  It was a very fitting end to 15 years of Rosie’s Walks with beautiful weather and lots of lovely people.  We have a handful of medals left from the 1,000 we began with!  The generosity of walkers has been astonishing – we are well on our way to reaching the £15,000 target with £9,000 already raised with more donations and sponsor money to be received.   The walk could not take place unless we had volunteers to ensure the safety of our visitors.  Our heartfelt  thanks to all 40 volunteers we had this year from Aldridge 425  Air training Cadets and other local squadrons, Aldridge Scouts, Dave Timmins the Radio Controller and wife Nikki manning the water station, car park marshals,  traffic marshals, registration volunteers, volunteers at the finish line, and to those who helped with setting up and clearing the site. Your time and dedication over the years to Rosie’s Walk made the event a brilliant success – Rosie, like Sean and I would have been so proud of you all.  Photos from the day are here
