Children’s Ward at Walsall Manor Hospital. To assist with the creation of the outdoor play area attached to the children's ward, Rosie's Helping Hands has provided funding to help purchase new equipment, plants and seating. The work is on-going and making good progress. Rosie's Helping Hands will continue to support this important work to provide young patients with an inviting outdoor space to enjoy during their hospital stay.

During 2014 over £6,000 were given in grants and donations to various local projects to support children and young people. These included:-

The Swing - a bereavement service for children and young people based in Walsall and part of the Walsall Bereavement Support Service. The grant enables The Swing to provide workshops and one to one counselling for children and young people who have lost a parent, sibling or close relative.

Clayhanger Children and Youth Clubs - to pay for the hire of facilities for children and young people to meet once a week at the new community centre in Clayhanger.

Sandwell Hospital - to help towards proving play equipment for the new outdoor area attached to the children's ward.

St Peter's Church Walsall - to help with play mats for a new parent and toddler group for local residents close to Walsall town centre.

During 2014 we collected chocolate from members of the public at Easter and Christmas to be distributed to local hospital children's wards and projects in the area including: French Squared, PROUD, Young at Heart, Home Start Walsall, The Thomas Project. Over 1,000 chocolate Easter eggs and 1,000 Chocolate selection boxes were kindly donated - thank you to everyone who supported this including WS1 Nightclub, Saddlers Shopping Centre, West Midlands Travel Walsall Depot, KeyFuels Walsall, Walsall Market Traders, The Tap and Tanner, Weatherspoon’s in Walsall Town Centre, Yates Walsall, West Midlands Police Walsall area.
