Businesses Making a Difference in the Local Community
Rosie’s charitable Trust is dedicated to improving
the lives of local children from birth to young adults up
to the age of 25 years. The Trust has supported and helped
around 70 projects and groups over the past five years, enabling
voluntary groups to deliver valuable and vital services to
the local community.
The Trust firmly believes that communities are enriched,
sustained and strengthened through individuals, businesses,
schools and organisations working together to bring about
lasting and positive change to people living and working in
the local community. During 2008 twelve projects have received
help benefitting around 800 children and young people.
| ‘Forward4Work provides training
and support into employment for people with disabilities.
The funding provided by Rosie’s Helping Hands has
been a great help to our trainees. Twenty-two people have
benefitted, with help for items such as clothing for interviews
or uniforms, books, course fees, safety shoes and a special
keyboard for someone who is sight impaired. Rosie’s
Helping Hands has helped all these young people take their
first steps into work, the team and clients are incredibly
grateful for the funding..’

The Trust provides the opportunity for donors to make a significant
contribution to the local community whether the donation is
£5 or £5,000. Some of the fantastic and generous
support we receive comes from the people of Aldridge and surrounding
areas, as well as Aldridge School, Co-op Travel in Aldridge,
Barhale Construction of Walsall and Rotometrics Ltd of Aldridge.
If your business would like to support Rosie’s Helping
Hands and make a difference to children and young people in
the local area of Walsall here are some suggestions in ways
you can support:
• Make a donation either a general donation or from
pre-tax profits
• Nominate Rosie’s Helping Hands as charity of
the Year so employees
can become involved with fundraising.
• Support Rosie’s Walk & Festival with a
donation in return for advertising
opportunities or match fund employees participation.
• Donation of goods or services in particular stationery,
postage, office
equipment, venue and equipment hire.
• Provide volunteers to help on the day with Rosie’s
Walk and Festival.
