Here are a few people who have raised money for us in other
ways:-
We are delighted and very grateful to the following organisations who have chosen us as their charity for the year:
2005/6 - Aldridge & Brownhills Housing Group so far they have raised £940.00 plus £1615.00 which
Jim Morris raised whilst up in the crane for 72 hours, with other events planned throughout the year.
2004/5 The Red Lion Public House, Station Road, Aldridge. They have so far raised £762.00 with help from the Bowman Public House, Aldridge.
2004 - The Police Federation of England and Wales Sports and Social Club. They raised £1211.00 for the charity through various fundraising events.

The evening raised £2,291.35 a fantastic amount, we would like to thank everyone who attended the fully booked evening and to the staff of Laboni who worked extremely hard to ensure the evening was so successful and enjoyable. (August 2003)
Aldridge Running Club held a marathon

go everyone at the running club for their kindness, generosity
and support and especially to Jan Griffiths the promoter
for all her hard work in obtaining fabulous raffle prizes
from local shops and businesses. (May 2003)
Aldridge School, where Rosie was a student,
raise lots of money for us through various activities, one
of the things they have done is collect loose change throughout
the year they have set a target of £1,000 they reached
in 2005. Well done and a big thank you to all the students,
staff and parents for their kind generosity.
Aldridge School created a small garden in memory of Rosie
which is located near the entrance to the school by the
head teacher's office.
The school raised money by having
a non-uniform day and other fundraising events. The garden
is a place for quiet time, which is well used by students
and staff. Two Rosemary shrubs are planted either side of
the stone which is inscribed 'Rosie enriched our school.
Loved and missed.' (April 2002)
Arthur Terry School in Four Oaks, Students in Year 7 held
a competition to see who could raise the most money by filling
Smartie tubes with 20p pieces in return for doing errands
at home. The students raised an amazing amount of over £800.00
Congratulations and thank you!!! (2004)
Sponsored Crawl. Our thanks go to a group
of Rosie's friends who decided to set themselves a challenge;
who would reach a location in Walsall Town Centre first:
A group hitch-hiking from Oxford (approx 70 miles away)
or someone crawling on all fours from Aldridge (approx 3
miles away). Between them they raised over £200.00.
The group from Oxford won by about an hour, but the hero
of the challenge was James Treadwell who crawled the whole
3 miles with blisters the size of his shredded knee pads!
We DO NOT recommend you try this yourself. (May 2004)

For Charity or Sanity? - Jim Morris decided
to raise money for Rosie's Charity by spending 72 hours 80 foot up in
the air in a cherry picker at the Poachers Pocket Pub in
Walsall Wood. Jim
also wanted to do something in memory
of his Uncle who raised over £250,000 during his lifetime
doing various stunts for charity and thought this would
be similar to the stunt his Uncle did a few years ago when
he spent several weeks in a barrel high above
the ground.
Jim's stunt began on Friday 27th May until Monday 30th May,
he had lots of company over the weekend with live bands
performing at the Walsall Woodstock which is held at the
Poachers Pocket each year over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Jim has so far raised £1600 for the charity. (May
2005)
Santa Appeal: Bill Wakefield raised nearly
£3,000 by asking schools and libraries in the borough
of Walsall to donate to his Santa Appeal. During December

hard work and for his help with Rosie’s Walk 2006.
A huge thanks to all the schools and libraries which gave
so generously to the Santa Appeal.

St Mary’s Football Club in Aldridge played a sponsored Dawn til Dusk match. They were raising money for Rosie’s charity and also to sponsor one of their team members on an overseas volunteering opportunity to help build a village. They raised a terrific £2146.25 – thank you to everyone who took part and generously supported the Match, including Barclays Bank who match funded £750 raised by one of their members of staff.
Seven members of Staff from Aldridge & Brownhills Housing Trust took part in the Three Peaks Challenge in August 2006. The challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales all within in 24 hours. The Team from WHG managed to achieve this in 21 hours and 56 minutes rising just over £1,000. The money was spread across local charities, we were delighted to be one of them and received £365.00.
